Come have your voice heard in support of parks, greenways, and community centers in West Cary. Town of Cary - Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Master Plan
Public Meeting – October 26, 2011 (Herb Young Community Center), 6-8pm
101 Wilkinson Ave. Cary, NC You are cordially invited to the next public meeting for the Town of Cary’s Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Master Plan. The meeting will be on October 26, 2011 at the Herb Young Community Center. The meeting will be from 6 – 8 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to review the “findings” of the Master Plan to date. These findings are based on the recently completed mail-in survey, park and facility inventory, focus group meetings, and e-mail input. We are very interested to have Cary residents hear and review this information. This meeting will focus on the major areas of the plan including the Cultural Arts, Open Space & Greenways, Recreation Programs and Community Centers.

Mathnasium (down the street, at the Harris Teeter shopping center) is hosting a math competition next month: You can now register online for the 2nd Annual North Carolina Math Competition, NCMC (formerly Mathnasium Triathlon), hosted by Healthy Communities, a local nonprofit organization. All 3rd through 8th grade students are invited to participate in this year’s event, sponsored by Mathnasium.
